Q + A

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at a hotel?

Yes, we have reserved a room block at the Courtyard Marriott Coconut Grove. To book your room, you can call them at (305) 858-2500 and tell them you are with the Casas/Kankia wedding.

What is the dress code?

The dress code for the welcome party is casual (i.e. long or short-sleeved shirt with slacks or shorts for men, sundresses for women). It will be outside by the water, so bright tropical colors are encouraged! For the wedding, the dress code is formal. We ask that men wear a suit and tie, and that women wear a long or tea length dress. We kindly ask that guests avoid wearing colors traditionally reserved for the bride on both nights (i.e. whites, ivories).

What will the weather be like?

We chose March because the weather in Miami tends to be perfect around that time. Temperatures are usually in the 70s and 80s during the day, and high 60s at night. It will hopefully be nice and sunny all weekend, as it usually does not rain often during that time of year.

Will the wedding events be indoors or outdoors?

The welcome party will be outdoors on a covered terrace. The wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will all take place in different locations at the PAMM, both indoors and outdoors.

What is the easiest way to get to and from your wedding venues?

We’ve arranged shuttles for the welcome party on Friday night to make transportation easier, as coordinating multiple Ubers to and from Key Biscayne can sometimes be tricky. You can find all the details in the 'Travel' section of the website. On Saturday we won't be providing shuttle service to the wedding since the PAMM is very easy to access via Uber/Lyft from Coconut Grove, Brickell or any of the surrounding areas.

Will there be parking available at your venues?

There will be parking available on both nights, should you choose to drive. If you plan on drinking, we highly recommend calling an Uber/Lyft! On Friday night, we will have valet parking at the yacht club. On Saturday, guests can park in the museum parking garage. If you do park in the garage, make sure to grab a parking validation from a member of the wedding staff before the end of the night so that your parking is free.

Can I bring my children?

Respectfully, the wedding day will be an adults-only celebration, as we’re unable to accommodate young children due to restrictions. However, children are warmly welcome at the welcome party on Friday. Thank you in advance for making babysitting arrangements ahead of time—we truly appreciate your understanding.

Can I bring a plus one?

We unfortunately cannot accommodate additional guests. Your formal invitation will be addressed to all guests who have been invited, or [your name] + Guest if you've been given a plus one. We appreciate your understanding in allowing our wedding to be an intimate event with our close family and friends.

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?

We will have a vegan/vegetarian and a gluten-free meal option on both nights. If you have any other restrictions or concerns, please reach out to us.

Do you have a registry?

We do not. Your presence at our special day is the best gift we could ask for! Should you choose to celebrate us with a gift or contribute to our honeymoon fund, we will have a designated box to drop wedding cards at the reception.

I have more questions about your wedding, who can I contact?

If you have any questions that weren't answered here, please feel free to reach out to Caroline at casascaroline@gmail.com or Giselle (mother of the bride) at giselle4diaz@gmail.com.
